It’s Argiope aurantia, there are a few spiders called Banana Spider. This is one of them. We use a different common name, Black and Yellow Garden Spider. There are only a few species of spider that don’t have venom out of many thousands. This one has venom for killing prey quickly. It isn’t dangerous to people though. Spider venom has chemical formulas that are potent against the spiders’ prey and rarely effective on mammals. This species is also unlikely to bite a larger animal.
