No idea what so ever what this is but it looks scary and there are more than one around the outside of my house.
She looks like Neoscona domiciliorum, a Red-femured Orbweaver. The species name, domiciliorum, comes from the species’ preference for building webs on houses. They aren’t dangerous to people. They look a bit scary because they are hairy and have bright colors. This may have evolved to disguise them from being recognized as spiders in the vision of insect prey.
