Can anyone identify this spider?
Certainly a female orb weaver, araneidae family. What I make of the ventral pattern, maybe Araneus genus.
All such spiders are quite harmless and beneficial.
Thanks that’s good to know.
Walnut Spider, Nuctenea umbratica.
