Perhaps not even a cm long, he's in my shower making a triangular web. Very segmented body, almost like an ant. Very dark in color, with pronounced "mandibles," if that's what they are.

I’m not sure. It looks like it has three body segments, like an insect. There are three definite pairs of legs on the thorax, but the front two appendages…one seems to come from the thorax, the other from the head. It does appear to have mandibles like an insect (pointed down) rather than chelacerae ( pointed more forward). If it is an Ant Mimic Spider, it is very effective. Anyone else……..?
