This is an egg sack...it was inside the sleeve of a shirt that I had purchased from Goodwill. I put my arm in it and it burned and caused an itchy rash on my arm. I live in Western Ky. But the shirt may have come from anywhere.

Hi, this looks like an insect pupa. The itching may have come from chemicals that might have come in contact with the shirt at some point. Anything with oxalic acid (like the papery tissue on hyacinth bulbs) causes a contact and systemic reaction in me that is severe painful itching. Someone may have used a pesticide in a storage area. Maybe some pupae have irritant chemicals. I go to Goodwill Buy the Pound, where unsold items from Goodwill stores and non pre-checked donations are dumped together into big bins for people to dig into.
