Comments & ID Thoughts
Spider was found on the small concrete porch of my apartment at approx. 8:30 pm. Brown smallish abdomen, legs and body shiny and black. No hairs visible. Spider body and legs are about the size of a quarter. Pedipalps longer than on other spiders that I have seen. Doesn't look like any spider that I have ever seen, not like anything in the pictures of spiders in Texas. Maybe young/immature?

Ignore that part about no hairs visible. They weren’t visible until I enlarged this picture considerably.
This looks like a Trap Door Spider in genus Umidia.
