Comments & ID Thoughts
I live in muncie indiana and came across this bright orange spider walking extremely slow on my driveway on November 4th. Seems rare. Is it a pumpkin spider? And how rare is it?

Just curious about what kind of spider this is? Is it dangerous? Was out for a stroll down my drive on a chilly day moving very slow
Hi there this could be a pumpkin spider, if it is there not dangerous at all :3
After some research that’s what I came up with too! Kinda rare. Thank u
She’s Araneus marmoreus, a Marbled Orbweaver. This is one of the species called a Pumpkin Spider. They aren’t dangerous to people or much speedier in warm weather.
