I think she’s a Cross Orbweaver, Araneus diadematus. She has venom for killing prey, but it isn’t medically dangerous to most humans. She’s an elderly spider who has placed her fertilized eggs into a silk egg sac. The hatchlings can survive freezing temperatures and will disperse in Springtime. She is near the end of her life. They may be coming in to be a little warmer. Cold temperatures are a drain on the metabolism of arthropods. In college we used fruit flies in Genetics Lab class. I may agree, this does look to be eithe a male orb weaver or a female recently has made and hidden her egg sac.
Either case you little friend won’t live much longer, females die soon after laying their eggs and those will overwinter and hatch next spring.
I call them very harmless, only a mild venom geared for small insects. Very unlikely to bite unless rushed against the skin.
