You’re both in the right genus. I think she’s Araneus diadematus, a Cross Orbweaver. Shamrock Orbweavers only have two colors on their leg bands. Marbled orbweavers have more reddish femurs (big leg joint close to the body). Marbled legs go red and white to black and white as they go away from the body. This is a more consistent way to tell them apart than the markings and colors on their abdomens.
