Comments & ID Thoughts

This spider has been making this web here for a little over a month now. Any time I open the sliding door, it drops down and then when I close the door, and decide to do something else that isn't going in my backyard lol.

She’s a Marbled Orbweaver, Araneus marmoreus. Where there’s an outdoor lightbulb there’s a spider. The light lures nocturnal insects to it. This spider is being quite opportunistic by putting a web right on the light bulb. That’s weird how she reacts to the door. I’ve had Cellar Spiders that drop down for a drink when I turn on the water in the kitchen sink. I thought it was cute.
