Comments & ID Thoughts
Hi,
This baby dropped out of a bunch of grapes from Italy.
Could somebody please help me ID it?
Many thanks in advance!

Steatoda (false widows)? Could be invasive if it came in from foreign produce, however if it is a false widow, I’m pretty sure they are widely distributed across Europe.
It might be Steatoda paykulliana. That is a common species in Europe already. It isn’t a dangerous spider.
That doesn’t resemble this one I don’t think based on the coloring.
The markings are variable in color. Time for bed, it’s almost 3:00 on the East Coast. Goodnight.
