Have many plants that were outside for summer. Saw this bugger wandering around the edge of the pot. Very quick, must be it’s superpower. The light color startled me and I felt uneasy. So why I boxed it and now write to you for help with ID before I either let it outside or step on it. Thanks.
Please don’t step on it. Set it free. How much time are you spending outdoors where it could be a conflict? At a quick glance the photo looks like you were trying to recreate the first Moon landing with a spider. I don’t recognize Spider in Space….anyone?
Lol. I did take the box and released spider outside.
Thanks!
Ah ha. I answered my own question. I think it’s a yellow sac spider. Oh the internet !
Yes, I think it is a Sac Spider. They are common both indoors and outdoors. Yes, I grew up pre-internet. I don’t miss having to go to the library card catalog.
Thank you
Yes moon landing. Actually the photo is upside down as I wanted to look at the spider in the orientation similar to the other photos.
