Rabid Wolf Spider? It could be a Grass Spider, but he was large and on my driveway in sunlight. It was August, he might have been getting a drink or maybe eating earthworms that left their tunnels to drown on asphalt instead. He didn't try to escape like Grass Spiders usually do, was more confident like a Wolf Spider.

I agree that it looks like a Grass Spider. I looked at some grass spider pics I took the next day and they look like the same species.
