I found This spider in southern Ecuador on the river.
I actually Slept with it above my mosquito net... it never moved. It had a white skeleton /bone like back.

Was wondering if anyone knows what this spider is? It was found in southern Ecuador inthe rainforest on the Pastaza River.
I think she’s Argiope Argentata, a Silver Garden Spider. Thank you for sharing her photo. We don’t have many from Ecuador, though there has to be more great spiders there!
Your right! I looked It up . It was scarier looking than it really was. Next trip down there I’ll go ona spider hunt
Fantastic! I combine my travel with spider hunting. It’s a good way to see habitats and various species of living things that you might not have seen otherwise. It gets me out of the standard areas that people go. I’ve found things in people’s backyards that they didn’t know were there because they never looked closely. I would definitely want a spider guarding my mosquito netting too.
