She was found deceased in our kitchen window where she had lived for 6 years.
Wow! She must have had a good healthy life. The death of a spider I’ve lived with for a few months is sad for me, I keep glancing toward where I expect the spider to be. I can’t imagine losing one after 6 years. That’s basically a pet at that point. I’m so sorry for your loss.
I have so many amazing photos of her. Was very interesting to ger to view her in such detail. She lived between the screen and the window and I was able to closely watch her form egg sacs, babies hatching, and watching them feed communally. The maternal instincts of this species are facinating. They are so caring.
That’s so sweet! I hope one of her offspring comes back to stay with you. From what I’ve read, they are an interesting species that works comparatively. I hope to see some in-person soon.
