Comments & ID Thoughts
Ventral, male, Steatoda borealis. I also submitted his dorsal pic. He climbed onto my hand and I don't recommend handling Steatoda. He was trying to escape the camera flash. I was wearing a black sweater over a dark grey sweater and he must have seen them as a dark place to hide. He crawled quickly all over and under my sweaters. To avoid squishing him and getting bitten I had to take off my sweaters and toss them on the floor. That's why I do these things alone. ;) He crawled out and I put him back in the kitchen.
