I would like to know what kind of spider this is. It is dark brownish black. I have a picture of the top but can’t seem to attach two photos.

the top of the spider is a dark black/brown with no markings. it was found in a door frame about a foot above the ground
This is a Cobweaver in genus Steatoda of family Theridiidae. Sorry you spent time trying to attach another photo. It isn’t in the site’s programming. I tried everything too. These spiders make true cobwebs which are a style of web that is messy looking so it doesn’t look like a spider web to prey.
