The bright blue jaws(?) drew my attention. It looks and acts like a jumping spider. It runs fast, and then draws its legs in compactly when it stops. Its compact stance would fit within the diameter of a dime. Extended legs could surround a quarter. As I approached, it turned to face me, then ran toward me. I tried to chase it out into the yard away from the house, but it is fearless. Is it dangerous?

Looks like Phidippus audax or Bold Jumping spider.
‘Bold’ indeed. It tried to stare me down, then ran toward me instead of running away. When I threatened to stomp it, it raised its front legs to make a pretty good imitation of a crab’s fighting stance. On each side, it held a pair of legs together to resemble the heavy arm and claw of a crab. Bluff, dodge, charge, retreat, impressive performance for a spider.
