Thank for sharing this fantastic photo of Araneus diadematus on her egg sac! We use the common name Cross Orbweaver. They are an introduced species to North America, but not invasive. Her eggs and hatchlings can survive freezing temperatures and will be ready to disperse in Springtime. As long as she can, their mother will protect them.
