Zosis geniculata, Hackled Orbweaver? Female. She's in the cntr of the pic. She had a small orb web, the kind that some families of orbweavers other than Araneus have as adjunct webs. She was in a shrub in South Carolina. I first saw her lateral plane, "Hackled Orbweaver," was my immediate thought. She had long outstretched legs that looked tufted distally. She quickly dropped out of view and I took this twig and moved her to a path to take a photo.
