That’s an attractive Black Widow! The mostly red legs are quite nice. It is either Latrodectus variolus or L. mactans.
Is this a rare spider for this area? I had never seen one quite like this.
For your area, Black Widow sightings are relatively rare in general. We only have about three sightings from Arkansas. There are some that have been identified as Latrodectus variolus with red legs in our gallery. That doesn’t exclude the other species in your state from having occasional red legs.
