Southern black widow?
I don’t think it is a Back Widow . It looks like a False Widow in genus Steatoda. They are in the same family, Theridiidae, but the venom is much weaker than genus Latrodectus. Black Widows have darker bodies with the red ventral “hourglass ” and a line or row of red dots down their backs, sometimes with white circles around the dots and white lines on the sides. Thanks for your reply. I also considered a false widow, since i could not see the hourglass from a distance. I will try to be more precise with next photos.
my mistake – I meant to write western black widow
