Is this a Female Banded Garden Spider? The spider spun this web in one of our Princess Lilac Bushes. I thought the entire presentation was absolutely beautiful yet creepy at the same time.

Looks like a striped garden spider
Yes, she’s a Banded Garden Spider, Argiope trifasciata. Her web looks great with the water droplets on it. I think the creepy part comes from how she’s in a position exactly the way spiders are depicted when someone is trying to make them look scary. She’s just hanging out waiting for something to run into the web. The tight knit web behind her mmay serve as a visual shield to keep predators and prey from recognizing her shape as a spider.
Those are really cool I have kept one as a pet before.
