I want to know what spider this is. I would like to have a insect eater around the house, but not be a pest. Please help identify so I can know if it’s friendly to humans or not?

It’s a Grass Spider. They are safe to have in the house. They aren’t normally indoor spiders. They are good for moth hunting. So, there’s no harm in having it. Their webs aren’t sticky, they act like perimeter sensors. The spider stays in contact with the web and feels the movements of prey that touch the web. They pounce really fast. So, they mostly catch larger insects. If you want to have a different kind of insect hunted there are other spiders you might want to have.
