Found this one in Ecuador, I think in the genus Gasteracantha.

Thank you, I knew what genus it was in but I was having trouble figuring out the exact species.
The quick cheat is to search the genus using Google Images then double checking what you found to make sure it was correctly identified. Look for images that come up from our site and Bugguide in the search. I check the genus in the World Spider Catalog to see which species are in which ranges. This species can also be yellowish and the individual spines are variable in black or red. This is a super easy species to get good photos of!
