Found in the feathers of an angel when taking down the Christmas tree...there were several.

It looks like a Hentz Jumping Spider, Hentzia palmarum. Was the tree cut in New Hampshire or imported pre-cut? This matters for our statistics of where particular species are found. I don’t know if there have been sightings of it in the wild here. I’ll add that info today. They don’t have venom that is medically significant to humans and they aren’t aggressive. Don’t worry about an infestation, they need a supply of indoor insects to survive. I was just thinking this morning that we were due for a report of spiders in a Christmas tree.
Bugguide.com had a sighting of H. palmarum in Merrimack. iNaturalist had a sighting in New Ipswich, NH.
