It is not dangerous to people. It is a False Widow in genus Steatoda. Their venom is dangerous to insects and other spiders, that’s why spiders have venom – self-defense and to kill prey. They won’t hurt you if you don’t hurt them. Holding them too tightly in your hand hurts them. They really want to avoid us by staying in dark narrow places where we probably won’t see or reach them.
