Thanks for clarifying that. I would like to remove the pre-chosen default answers, like “yes”, from our submission form. This looks like a Dark Fishing Spider, Dolomedes tenebrosus. They make nursery webs to protect their hatchlings, but don’t use webs for hunting. They aren’t dangerous to people and are quite interesting spiders that hunt on land as well as on and under water.
