Yes, that is the most likely species of Steatoda. They are really great spiders to have indoors and/or outdoors, really! They aren’t dangerous to people, their venom is formulated to be highly lethal to other spiders and insects. I observe the various species of spiders in my house to see how effective they are at killing the insects I want them to kill. Steatoda triangulosa and Steatoda borealis are the best at catching flies and mosquitoes. Since the mosquitoes carry at least two potentially deadly or disabling viruses, I appreciate the natural mosquito traps.
