Comments & ID Thoughts

I don't know enough to guess other than a parson spider (but it doesn't seem to have the markings for that or a weaver of some kind. Given that the trim next to it is about 2.5" tall, I'd say this spider is roughly an inch long. Was in a bedroom in our basement. No webs visible in the area, leading me to believe it is not a weaver, but I am a complete neophyte.

OOF! I don’t know it’s hard to know because how dark the photo is but my guess that spider might be a Anyphaena accentuata also known as a buzzing spider.

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a Funnel Weaver (Agelenidae). There are several similar genera out west.
