Comments & ID Thoughts
Probably a Wolf Spider, yet, it's unusual shaped abdomen is unlike any I have seen. About 1 to 1.5" diameter. Can YOU Identify?

Just curious about its unique tail. Maybe it is carrying young? Any information would be appreciated. Please help tell its story! Thank You, anybody out there.
I think it may be a solifuge (Order Arachnida, class Solifugae). Spiders are class Aranae. The solifuges have crushing jaws in front of their heads, no fangs nor venom. I can’t see the photo well. They have sensory hairs on the head end. I don’t know if they carry offspring. They’re really cool creatures, we get photos of them occasionally because people recognize them as arachnids. Unfortunately they aren’t our specialty.
