Found this in my mailbox. I’m thinking it may be a brown widow?
Yes, Latrodectus geometricus, from what I can see. I hope you moved it to a new location for your mail carrier’s sake. The egg sacs are white spiky balls, they should be moved too if there are any. Spiders in this family, Theridiidae, can’t see well so they live in dark enclosed places where it is difficult for their predators to see and reach them.
