Hi, it isn’t a spider, but it is an interesting animal. This is a Solifugue. It is an Arachnid, but spiders split into order Aranae and this animal is in Solifugae. I don’t usually use the common names because they are scientifically incorrect and give the impression that this is a spider or scorpion. I’ll give them in the future if anyone thinks I should. These critters don’t have fangs, stings, or venom. Their jaws are almost half of their body because they use them to cut and crush prey. So, they can give you a nip in self-defense, but… Read more »
