Large 2 inches , found three in pool and one inside house. Lived here 40 years this is first time ever seen.

It might be Sphodros paisano, a Purseweb Spider. https://bugguide.net/node/view/1329882/data I don’t know if this link will work if you don’t have a Bugguide account. Please let me know if it doesn’t and I won’t link it this way in the future. Yes, moving the ivy probably pulled their webs and exposed them. That would lead them to search for new locations.
