Does anyone know what type of spider this is? I took a picture, but it did this spider no justice. The spider was unlike any I have ever seen before. It looked soft and was a mint color. Is it poisonous? What is the name of this? Any info would be appreciated. When looking online, I saw nothing that looked like it. Ma y pictures I came across were green spiders. This spider was a mint color. I saw him in the street.

It appears to be dead. Peucetia viridans is a mint green spider that is a possibility.
Why do you say it appears to be dead? Thank you so much for responding. It is not a huntsman or crab spider? I know the coloring in the pic doesn’t help, but because it was so bright out I couldnt get anything better.
The abdomen is indented and the legs aren’t bent at the joints, and you said it looked soft. Was it moving? The feet are all on the ground, which is something that does indicate that it’s alive. I check automatically for signs that a spider is dead, because death complicates identification because they discolor and aren’t in characteristic poses. It helps weed out the submissions that aren’t spiders. Insects, debris, and fake spiders are more commonly submitted by accident than fake spiders are submitted intentionally. He seemed as if he moved and faced me in whatever direction I moved. However, this was at 12:00, and he was in fact in the same place when I left after school got out. which means from 12:00-2:40 he did leave that area. So what type of spider do you think it is? The souther house spider or the Peucetia viridan?
My best guess is Southern House Spider because of the long pedipalps. Some of the photos of them online look greenIsh gray or yellow green. Our site moderator, Itsy Bitsy, has the last opinion on an image.
