I think this is Latrodectus hasselti, an Australian Redback. They are not aggressive, but may bite if skin is pressed against one. They have potentially dangerous venom. They are in the same genus as Black Widows. If bitten by one please have someone collect the spider for identification and quickly seek emergency medical treatment. There is an anti-venom that can be administered for the bites. Spiders in this family can’t see well. They live in small dark places to avoid being seen and reached by their predators.
