Comments & ID Thoughts

I have no idea what spider this is. They are all over my fence. I am trying to identify this spider so that I can be more familiar with it i.e is it poisonous, aggressive, do they bite. Thank you all in advance.

This appears to be a duplicate image with different lighting. The spider is a Noble False Widow (Steatoda nobilis). They are in the same family as Black Widows (Theridiidae/Latrodectus) but are not considered to have the that same level of medical significance. They’re not aggressive and are only likely to bite in self defense. They are a fairly new species to the area – a native to Madeira and the Canary Islands they have been increasing their global range since the 1800’s.

You’re welcome, I removed the duplicate for you.
