Hi, it’s a hard to tell from the photo, my best guess is that it may be in the Steatoda genus, a false widow of some kind. Most spiders have venom but most spiders hesitate to use it on large animals like us unless they feel they are in immediate danger. Don’t hold them tight against your skin, that is the main bite trigger. Spiders like this usually stay in safe dark enclosed places. Yours may have been thirsty.
