I have no idea what kind of spider this is. Northeastern California in pine area near water...they keep coming in the cabin and live in our sinks and tubs. My cousin guessed a trap door spider, but those look much hairier to me!

I don’t have any nice pincers up here to turn the arachnid over for a closeup of it’s genitalia 🙂 Has anyone seen this and know what kind of spider it is? I regularly catch them and release outside, but there’s snow out now, so I’m leaving it indoors for now.
No need to turn her over! Gender is usually pretty easy to identify with spiders. Not only are females larger than males, males also carry their “testes” in their feelers. If it were a male you’d see bulbous ends on the feelers. You’re friend has tapered ends on her feelers.

Neat! Closest looks wise I found was the black laceweaver. Neat! Thank you, I’ll look into this one! Finally have an ID to pursue!
