I have no idea what kind of spider this is. Northeastern California in pine area near water...they keep coming in the cabin and live in our sinks and tubs. My cousin guessed a trap door spider, but those look much hairier to me!

No need to turn her over! Gender is usually pretty easy to identify with spiders. Not only are females larger than males, males also carry their “testes” in their feelers. If it were a male you’d see bulbous ends on the feelers. You’re friend has tapered ends on her feelers.
