Please help! This thing is terrifying me.
Hi, this looks like a Nursery Web Spider, Pisaurina mira. I had a female that lived in the siding of my house last year. I never saw her move. She was in her little spot at dusk and back under the siding at dawn. They’re related to Fishing Spiders, which mostly just stay still against a vertical surface watching for prey to come by. Humans are not prey. She should be outdoors with the insects she’ll eat and the males that will want to mate with her. A compromise with her would be to catch her in a container and… Read more »
