Comments & ID Thoughts
I want to know if this is a brown recluse or another recluse. In S FL. In my apartment. I don’t quite see the “violin” shape & it’s sort of flat bodied. They are also outside my apartment. Concerned if it is venemous! Can’t find any that look just like it.

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a Flattie (Selenops). Like most spiders they have venom but are not considered to be of medical significance, everyone’s immune system is different though.
Thanks! I have one who likes my car too. I was more worried because my kitten was attempting to catch it & she’s a really good jumper. I see now that the males can appear a bit furrrier than the females, I think. Thanks for this woderful resource!
