The lighter spots are more of a yellowish tan than a white. It was building a web/nest in the corner behind my door in my dorm room. It pretty much stayed in that corner and didn't venture too much. I would love to know what kind of spider this is, and if possible, I'd like to know if it is male or female.

I submitted this photo. After submitting it, I did a lot of digging. I’m thinking maybe this could be a triangulate cobweb spider (Steatoda triangulosa).
