Hi. I can only see this is a wolf spider in the Lycosidae family, Most common I find in the high desert is Hoogna genus, H. antelucana and carolina wolf spider H. carolinensis.

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a interesting Wolf Spider (Lycosidae). I don’t think it’s one that we commonly see. Looks a little like Schizocosa maxima, but I’m not sure that’s right. Filing to family for now.

The only Schizocosa in California I have encountered was north, S. mccooki. Not much at all like this.
