Comments & ID Thoughts
Found this 8 leg lady in Maspeth, Queens, NY. I have never seen anything like this in NY before. My Son thought it was a black house spider, but those belong on the opposite side of the globe.
Could someone please ID it?

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This looks like a Black Lace-weaver, Amaurobius ferox.
After perusing other posts (should have done that first!) I believe its a Black Lace Weaver
