Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This looks like a Johnson Jumper (Salticidae), Phidippus johnsoni.
ok cool. is it poisonous? it is living on in my front steps and I have pets and kids. I don’t want to evict it; if it isn’t a threat it can stay.
Not one to worry about. Not considered to be of medical significance and unlikely to bite except in self defense.
