It is a Orb Weaver. Possibly a Araneus genus. Im not an expert though.
Me either, but it is an orb weaver. The web had been destroyed by the home owners in preparation for a birthday party. I have never seen this type of weaver. I typically get Argiope aurantia in my yard. Thank you for looking.

Marbled Orbweavers have many possible mixes of colors and patterns. This black and yellow pattern is the most common.
