My mom saw this giant thing at her house. Just want to know how dangerous/venomous it is.

- Spider: Argiope aurantia (Black and Yellow Garden Spider)
- Location: Cedar Park, Texas, United States
- Spotted Outdoors: Man-made structure (building wall, fences, etc.)
- Found in web?: Yes
- Attributes:
Argiope aurantia – yellow garden spider. They are not aggressive and will only bite if disturbed. Though the are more likely to flee and hide than attack if the web needs to be removed.
Bite is less painful than a bee sting and not concerning unless the individual is very young or elderly
