This appears to be the Argiope aurantia, better known as the Yellow Garden Spider. This spider is not venomous. I hope this helped.
Thank you Backyard! Technically, this species does have venom for swiftly killing its prey. I know that you meant that it isn’t medically dangerous to people. There are a few species of spider that don’t have venom. I had one in my yard this year, a Feather-legged Orbweaver. My neighbors weren’t as excited about my spider without venom as I was!
