Beautiful photo! She’s a Marbled Orbweaver and she’s not dangerous to people. She has venom for swiftly killing her bug prey. She would only bite, in self-defense, if you handle her roughly. Yes, her abdomen is large from her growing eggs. Technically most spider species don’t get pregnant. The semen is collected and stored in ducts until it is needed. The ductwork flows to the part where the eggs come out and the eggs get coated and fertilized as they exit into an egg sac.
