No, the venom is not medically significant to humans. She also won’t act aggressively except in self-protection from rough handling. She is there to catch large insects that are attracted to the pool. The design of her web is very strong and can stop a heavy bug that is moving fast.
It’s interesting that you saw her shoot a long-distance thread to make a larger web. I haven’t seen that yet.
